For nearly two decades Liam has helped clients address their financial concerns and develop strategies by focusing on each individual’s specific needs. With extensive experience managing clients’ portfolios throughout major shifts in the market, Liam has dedicated his career to delivering personalized investment management and financial planning services to individuals who are retired or are within 10 years of retirement. He believes it is critically important that his clients have a strategy in place to preserve their investments when significant market downturns occur, since they do not have 20 years to make up those returns.
Liam began his career as a financial advisor with Prudential securities in Akron, Ohio. He joined Wachovia Securities, a predecessor firm of Wells Fargo advisers, in 2003. He was one of a select group of financial advisors who managed client portfolios of $100,000 and more. In 2009, Liam earned the CFP certification by passing a rigorous examination, while meeting stringent education and experience requirements.
Liam’s passion for learning does not end there. Growing up with an uncle who had his own investment firm, Liam learned about investing at an early age. Liam earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and his Masters of Science degree at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem North Carolina.
Outside the office he enjoys exercising, golf, spending time with family, and supporting community organizations like the Catholic Charities, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the V Foundation and the American Cancer Society. Liam can also be counted on to volunteer his time as needed.
